Ok, today is Wednesday and I'm just here reflecting on the amazing Saturday that I had just gone. It had to be one of the best days that I have had in a long while.
I managed to overcome a fear that often tries to stop me from sharing the Gospel with the people in the streets and the community.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of joining Faith Miracle Centre and Daniel Chand of Walking Like Jesus Ministries, in taking to the streets on Woodgreen, North London with other enthusiastic believers of Christ Jesus, to let the people know that Jesus loves them.
When we were at the Faith Miracle Centre preparing to go I could sense the nerves trying to take hold, but greater than this was the excitement and anticipation that was building within me that was about to be set loose, and it did not disappoint.
It was such a wonderful experience to get out of the four walls of the church and meet the people where they were at, and I loved every moment of it. The rejection of some was nowhere near enough to stop me in my tracks from sharing the good news that ‘Jesus is obsessed with you’. Obsessed…you may think that is a bit extreme, but any God that has the time and care to number every hair on every head has to have some level of obsession working.
It was great to share my faith alongside others who know him and don’t know him and I thank Daniel & Tanya Chand for their amazing commitment to sharing the Gospel and getting out into the heart of the community and being that light in a dark place.
I read this the other day in the book ‘Renewing the Mind’ by Casey Treat, and it read “Don’t curse the darkness, light a candle”.
